📢 BigImage for GeoSlicer📢

The BigImage toolkit available in GeoSlicer is a set of tools designed to make it easier to manipulate huge volumes outside of RAM. This allows the user to work with massive images of very high resolution, i.e. that exceed the amount of memory available on the machine. The challenge is to give the user enough flexibility to analyze the image and run algorithms, such as segmentation, while not compromising the usability of the machine.
The toolkit was develop in cooperation with Petrobras.

⚙️ Our workflow:
1️⃣ Load the image via Large Image Loader.
2️⃣ Using the slices, subvolumes and downsampling visualization tools, analyse the image.
3️⃣ Select regions of interest and apply the desired algorithms to validate the parameters.
4️⃣ Apply the parameters found to the entire volume.

❕ We remind that GeoSlicer is open source! ❕
