Workshop on seismic inversion

This week, part of the LTrace team participated in a workshop on seismic inversion at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Connectionism and Cognitive Sciences Lab.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Dr. Dario Grana from the University of Wyoming as a special speaker. He delivered an insightful lecture on his consortium focused on Bayesian Learning.

Our co-founder, Dr. Leandro Passos de Figueiredo, presented an overview of Bayesian inversion algorithms. Professor Dr. Mauro Roisenberg shared the history of the laboratory including several projects. Dr. Bruno Barbosa Rodrigues, DSc from Petrobras presented applications of 4D seismic inversion and facies inference.

Graduate students also had the opportunity to present their ongoing work and engage in productive discussions with Dr. Dario Grana. A great exchange of knowledge and ideas!
